Father's Day

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Mark's 2nd Father's Day with Max. It is so much fun to watch my two boys playing together. It makes me so happy to know that Max will grow up and learn how to play baseball, go fishing and have a close relationship with his Daddy. Growing up, I was always a "Daddy's Girl" and I have to say that hasn't changed. I know that my Dad would be there for me at any given second. He is a wonderful example of what a great father is. I am so glad that Max loves his Papaw as much as I do. :) Our day started out going to church. Mark sang a special song called "He wants to be like me" and had me crying within the first few words. It talks about a little boy wanting to be just like his daddy. The daddy wants to show him the love of Christ. It was beautiful and a perfect song for Father's Day. It really reminded me that he watches everything we do and learns from that. Kinda puts things in perspective.

After church, we spent the day together as a family. We had a cook-out and went swimming for the rest of the day. It was wonderful. I am so thankful that I have Mark and Max in my life. They are my world. They are my everything and I am so lucky. Sometimes I take the simple things in life for granted and weekends like these show me that I need to cherish everything I have been blessed with. I am lucky to have these two...

Yes, I know...he looks just like his Daddy. ;)
Hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day and celebrated with the people you love.

Max gets a haircut!

I think it is safe to say that it was way past due. I am one of those Mommy's who would love to keep my baby looking like a baby. So, I avoid haircuts for my little guy at all costs. Now don't get me wrong, we have had a few trims here and there, but we still tried to keep the baby look. We are going to the beach very soon and I decided he needed a nice cut before our trip. I don't want him to burn up with all that hair. I was still traumatized from our first trip to get a haircut and had many people tell me that they do better without their Momma's. So, while I was at work, I had my mom take him and get his haircut. I know, I am such a chicken. In a sense, I guess it is true that they are better in some situations without their Momma's. :( Although I love to think Max needs me all the time, I know that there are others out there they he needs just as much.

Here is our before shot...

My cousin sent me this picture from the hair salon. He looks perfectly content sitting on his Grammy (who he now calls GiGi?? Not really sure where that came from). He looked like he was having a blast! :) He was being entertained by my mom, my grandma, my two aunts Janet and Sandy and my cousin Staci. He's not spoiled at all, can't you tell? ;)

Here is the finished product. I got this picture via text too and have to admit that tears came to my eyes. My baby boy has turned into a big boy and it hit me with this pic. He looks adorable! He was probably smiling because his Grammy promised him french fries if he was a good boy. ;)

Mommy loves you Max and your new haircut too!!

A Visit with Uncle Matt, Aunt B and Baby Nolan

We had an exciting weekend. We got to spend some time with Mark's brother Matt and his wife Brooke. They have a baby boy Nolan. They decided they were coming into Louisville and came by for a visit. They live a few hours away and we don't see each other often, but it's fun catching up. Nolan is such a sweet baby boy. He smiles all the time. :) Here is picture of the boys. You can tell they are all Wise's. Max was upset he had to stop playing with his toys for a second for a picture. He is getting harder and harder to take pictures of.

Here is Nolan. He is precious! I love this little smile in this picture. He seems like such a sweet baby. I hope that Max and Nolan grow up spending time together so they can be close. I know that would mean the world to Mark. :)

Max seemed to love his Uncle Matt. He kept showing off and playing ball with him. When it got late, he decided to hop on Matt's lap and take a break. It was so sweet.

This last picture is of the Mommy's and their babies. Both Mark and Matt say that their boys are Momma's boys and I know that I secretly love that. I'm sure it won't last forever, but I am taking advantage of it now while it lasts. I'm glad that Max wants his Mommy all the time. :)

We are so glad you guys came to visit us! We had a wonderful time catching up and watching Nolan and Max play together. Hope you guys enjoyed it as much as we did. :)

Happy 1st Birthday Kambri Jace!

One year ago, a beautiful little girl came into this world and her name is Kambri Jace. Her Mommy, Andrea has been my best friend since I was born. Our parents have been best friends since they were kids so it was only natural for us to be close. We have so much in common, I feel like she is more than a friend to me, she is the sister I never had. We had our first babies four months apart, and even though we live in different states try our hardest to get together every few months. I am so thankful for our friendship. Here are our precious babies Max and Kambri. We hope they grow up to be best friends someday too! :)
This past weekend we traveled to West Virginia to celebrate Kam's big day. It was a blast and we had a wonderful time catching up and watching the babies play together. Here is a picture of the precious birthday girl!

This last picture is Kambri and her Mommy Andrea. They mean the world to me and my family and I thank God that they are a part of our lives. I hope that everyone has someone that they can depend on like I can Andrea. No matter what time day or night, she is always there for me. I am so blessed. :)

Happy 1st Birthday Kambri Jace! We hope you had a wonderful day celebrating with your Mommy and Daddy. I can't wait to watch you learn and grow along with my baby Max. I'm sure we will have lots of awesome memories in the future. We love you sweet girl!! :)

Happy 12th Birthday Alex!

It's hard to believe that your are 12 years old! I remember the first time I saw you at the hospital. You were so tiny and sweet. :) Alex, you have grown up to be such a wonderful girl. We are so proud of you! You are always the first one to jump up and play with Max. He loves his "Al" and lights up when he sees you.

You are a good sport when Mark picks on you constantly. We both know how he is good at driving us crazy. It's all in good fun.

We love you and are so lucky you are a part of our lives. We hope you have had a wonderful 12th birthday with many more to come.

Happy Birthday!!! Hope you got everthing you wished for! :)
