Myrtle Beach 2010

We just got back from our first trip to the beach since Max was born. We had a blast! Max loved the beach and sand and was such a great baby. We were blessed that my parents and our best friends were able to spend a whole week together in Myrtle Beach, SC with us. Kambri and Max were able to take their first trips to the beach together. :) Andrea and I always went to the beach during summer trips and this year was so fun. It was a lot different though. The laying out all day, reading magazines and listening to music is a thing of the past. It was chasing the babies and running from here to there. It made us pretty tired but it was worth it to watch them have such a good time.

The weather was perfect. We spent the days playing in the ocean, building sandcastles, swimming in the pool, and enjoying the sunshine. We were able to look for sharks teeth, shells and even found a few crabs. We decided to take some family pics at the beach and they turned out pretty good considering Max is in full fledge toddler mode. He will not stop until he goes to sleep. He is so much fun right now. I always think I want him to stay at a certain age and then he changes right before my eyes. He is growing up so fast. He picks up on everything. It seems like it keeps getting better. I love the baby stage, but his expressions now are priceless. Here is a wonderful picture of my boys. They are my world. :)

Mommy with the Love of her Life :)
I love these hugs and sweet kisses. He is such a cuddle bear with me. I love that he is a Mommy's boy.

Here is a picture of my little football star. He is all boy! All he wants to do is play in dirt and throw balls. It is adorable! He loved this football and wanted to play with it all the time. He is already practicing so he can play for his Mommy's favorite team, the Colts, he just doesn't know it yet! ;)

I am so glad that we were able to spend time away from our everyday life and experience another first with our baby boy. Watching him and seeing his excitement makes me feel like I am living life all over again with him. He makes the world seem like a better place. I am so blessed to have such a precious little boy, my husband, family and friends. It was nice to spend time with all the important people in my life. It was a trip I will never forget. :)

Father's Day

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Mark's 2nd Father's Day with Max. It is so much fun to watch my two boys playing together. It makes me so happy to know that Max will grow up and learn how to play baseball, go fishing and have a close relationship with his Daddy. Growing up, I was always a "Daddy's Girl" and I have to say that hasn't changed. I know that my Dad would be there for me at any given second. He is a wonderful example of what a great father is. I am so glad that Max loves his Papaw as much as I do. :) Our day started out going to church. Mark sang a special song called "He wants to be like me" and had me crying within the first few words. It talks about a little boy wanting to be just like his daddy. The daddy wants to show him the love of Christ. It was beautiful and a perfect song for Father's Day. It really reminded me that he watches everything we do and learns from that. Kinda puts things in perspective.

After church, we spent the day together as a family. We had a cook-out and went swimming for the rest of the day. It was wonderful. I am so thankful that I have Mark and Max in my life. They are my world. They are my everything and I am so lucky. Sometimes I take the simple things in life for granted and weekends like these show me that I need to cherish everything I have been blessed with. I am lucky to have these two...

Yes, I know...he looks just like his Daddy. ;)
Hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day and celebrated with the people you love.

Max gets a haircut!

I think it is safe to say that it was way past due. I am one of those Mommy's who would love to keep my baby looking like a baby. So, I avoid haircuts for my little guy at all costs. Now don't get me wrong, we have had a few trims here and there, but we still tried to keep the baby look. We are going to the beach very soon and I decided he needed a nice cut before our trip. I don't want him to burn up with all that hair. I was still traumatized from our first trip to get a haircut and had many people tell me that they do better without their Momma's. So, while I was at work, I had my mom take him and get his haircut. I know, I am such a chicken. In a sense, I guess it is true that they are better in some situations without their Momma's. :( Although I love to think Max needs me all the time, I know that there are others out there they he needs just as much.

Here is our before shot...

My cousin sent me this picture from the hair salon. He looks perfectly content sitting on his Grammy (who he now calls GiGi?? Not really sure where that came from). He looked like he was having a blast! :) He was being entertained by my mom, my grandma, my two aunts Janet and Sandy and my cousin Staci. He's not spoiled at all, can't you tell? ;)

Here is the finished product. I got this picture via text too and have to admit that tears came to my eyes. My baby boy has turned into a big boy and it hit me with this pic. He looks adorable! He was probably smiling because his Grammy promised him french fries if he was a good boy. ;)

Mommy loves you Max and your new haircut too!!

A Visit with Uncle Matt, Aunt B and Baby Nolan

We had an exciting weekend. We got to spend some time with Mark's brother Matt and his wife Brooke. They have a baby boy Nolan. They decided they were coming into Louisville and came by for a visit. They live a few hours away and we don't see each other often, but it's fun catching up. Nolan is such a sweet baby boy. He smiles all the time. :) Here is picture of the boys. You can tell they are all Wise's. Max was upset he had to stop playing with his toys for a second for a picture. He is getting harder and harder to take pictures of.

Here is Nolan. He is precious! I love this little smile in this picture. He seems like such a sweet baby. I hope that Max and Nolan grow up spending time together so they can be close. I know that would mean the world to Mark. :)

Max seemed to love his Uncle Matt. He kept showing off and playing ball with him. When it got late, he decided to hop on Matt's lap and take a break. It was so sweet.

This last picture is of the Mommy's and their babies. Both Mark and Matt say that their boys are Momma's boys and I know that I secretly love that. I'm sure it won't last forever, but I am taking advantage of it now while it lasts. I'm glad that Max wants his Mommy all the time. :)

We are so glad you guys came to visit us! We had a wonderful time catching up and watching Nolan and Max play together. Hope you guys enjoyed it as much as we did. :)

Happy 1st Birthday Kambri Jace!

One year ago, a beautiful little girl came into this world and her name is Kambri Jace. Her Mommy, Andrea has been my best friend since I was born. Our parents have been best friends since they were kids so it was only natural for us to be close. We have so much in common, I feel like she is more than a friend to me, she is the sister I never had. We had our first babies four months apart, and even though we live in different states try our hardest to get together every few months. I am so thankful for our friendship. Here are our precious babies Max and Kambri. We hope they grow up to be best friends someday too! :)
This past weekend we traveled to West Virginia to celebrate Kam's big day. It was a blast and we had a wonderful time catching up and watching the babies play together. Here is a picture of the precious birthday girl!

This last picture is Kambri and her Mommy Andrea. They mean the world to me and my family and I thank God that they are a part of our lives. I hope that everyone has someone that they can depend on like I can Andrea. No matter what time day or night, she is always there for me. I am so blessed. :)

Happy 1st Birthday Kambri Jace! We hope you had a wonderful day celebrating with your Mommy and Daddy. I can't wait to watch you learn and grow along with my baby Max. I'm sure we will have lots of awesome memories in the future. We love you sweet girl!! :)

Happy 12th Birthday Alex!

It's hard to believe that your are 12 years old! I remember the first time I saw you at the hospital. You were so tiny and sweet. :) Alex, you have grown up to be such a wonderful girl. We are so proud of you! You are always the first one to jump up and play with Max. He loves his "Al" and lights up when he sees you.

You are a good sport when Mark picks on you constantly. We both know how he is good at driving us crazy. It's all in good fun.

We love you and are so lucky you are a part of our lives. We hope you have had a wonderful 12th birthday with many more to come.

Happy Birthday!!! Hope you got everthing you wished for! :)

My Little Water Dog

What started out as watering flowers, ended up like this...

I thought the water was too cold for him, but he loved it! He squealed and had a blast.

I guess he finally got tired of Mark and I not spraying him constantly and he took the water hose for himself.

It is safe to say that my boy is not afraid of water. In fact if there is a bathtub, swimming pool or water hose in sight he is screaming to get in it or get sprayed by it. I am sure this will make for an interesting summer. With a pool in his Grammy and Papaw's backyard and a trip to the beach soon, we will have our hands full. We have a water dog for sure. ;)

Sixteen Months...

It's hard to believe you have been here sixteen months today sweet boy. You have made your daddy and my life so much better. We are so proud of every new accomplishment you achieve. You are such a smart boy and always on the go. You are full speed ahead and don't slow down until you pass out in my arms at night. I have to say that nightime is my favorite time with you. Once you get sleepy you only want your Mommy. It is our time to cuddle and I love it so much. You love to sit in my lap and read books or watch an episode of Diego on tv. You love to look up at me and give me kisses. It melts my heart. You are Mommy's boy for sure, I LOVE it!

You are all boy. You love being outside and play with any and every ball that you see. Your daddy likes this and makes him so excited. You are about 23lbs and 30 inches. You are still wearing 12 month clothes. The doctor said it perfectly, you are petite like your Mommy and Daddy. :) No matter what size you are, you will always be perfect in my eyes. You are saying so many new words each day it is hard to keep up. You say Mom, Dad, Pop (Papaw), Gram, No, Ball, Cartoon, Popcorn, Outside, Drink, Bite, and the list goes on. It cracks me up for you to go to the tv and say cartoon. That means Daddy's baseball game or fishing show has to disapear. That makes Mommy happy. ;)

You play outside pretty much everyday until it is dark. You love to see the horses next door and the cats out in the field behind our house. You make noises that represent animals all the time. I have to say right now I think cats are your favorite. You say meow all the time. You also like to shoot at birds. You look up in the sky and say pow, pow all day long. You even make your hand in the shape of a gun.

You are such a sweet boy, Max. We love you with all our hearts. We are so thankful that God chose us to be your Mommy and Daddy. You make our lives complete. Happy sixteen months baby boy!

A Little Like Mommy

Sleeping so peacefully... without a care in the world.
And then suddenly someone wakes you up. That somebody being Mommy so that she can go to work. It's not fair, if only you could sleep a little longer. ;) Trust me, I understand. I love my sleep too.

Don't worry baby boy, no matter how loud you cry at Mommy for disturbing your sleep, I will never get tired of seeing your precious face every morning. You make my day brighter the second I step foot in your room. Your pitiful little pout and all.

Wicked

I had the chance to go see Wicked with my cousin Krista a few nights ago. It was amazing! Anyone that knows much about me would know that I LOVE anything with dancing and lots of music. I grew up wanting to be in the musical CATS. I took dance lessons most of my life, but I can't sing at all so that dream will never come true! :) For those of you that don't know, Wicked is based on the Wizard of Oz, one of my favorite movies of all time. It was so entertaining that I would have never guessed it ended way past my bedtime. ;) If you have the chance to go see it, you should go. It was wonderful.

Mother's Day

Today was my second Mother's Day with my baby boy. I have to say that I enjoyed every second of it. Being a Mom is a dream come true for me. I have always loved the idea of having children, but I never realized how it would make my life complete. I can honestly say that Max is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Mark, Max and I had a wonderful weekend together. We spent a lot of time just the three of us and then went to spend some time with our families as well. I feel so blessed to be called Mommy! Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! :)

Meet the Wise's

In an effort to remember as much as possible about the life of our sweet boy Max, my husband suggested I start a blog. Between working full-time and being a Mommy I am not sure how much time I will have to do this, but I thought I would give it a try. I am not sure why God chose me to be the mother of this precious baby boy, but I am so glad He did. I know that I don't deserve him and and am so thankful that I was chosen to bring him into this world. He has changed my life forever. There is nothing I wouldn't do for him. He is fifteen months old and has his Mommy wrapped around his finger. And I wouldn't have it any other way. Here is a picture of my "Mommy's Boy." He is the love of my life. :)

Hope you all enjoy reading about our life together as much as we love living it. :)
